While Meadowbrook appears to be a nice community, one problem persists -- the Board of Directors. The problem with the Board is that they are biased and selectively enforce our documents. Several examples are:
  • They target some residents for open garage doors and conducting business from a Unit, but not all. This is proven in a case where the Board tried to evict a tenant for these violations while completely ignoring other residents in violation. Most egregious of this conduct is the fact that one Board member voted in favor of pursuing these violations when her husband runs both locksmithing and arms dealing businesses from their home.

  • The Board began fining homeowners for not cleaning the Association sidewalks. When their own attorney stated that they cannot do this, they refused to believe it. While they agreed to NOT fine homeowners, they continue to pay the attorney to figure out a way to force homeowners to maintain the common area.

I can't tell you how many times homeowners have told me they regretted their decision to purchase their home in Meadowbrook.

It's truly sad, too, because the Board is so nasty and rude during meetings that nobody wants to attend the Board meetings -- let alone run for the Board.
However, the ONLY way to change the situation in Meadowbrook is to change the Board of Directors! It all begins by standing up for yourself and your neighbors.
